Alanis Morissette

Alanis Morissette, a Canadian, was born June 1 1974, in Ottawa. Alanis' Greek is a female version of the name Alan's father's. Georgia is the name used by her mother. She has two brothers, Chad as well as Wade. She learned to play the piano when she was 6 and then took up guitar at the age of 21. Alanis released a single in 1986 that was titled Fate Stay With me (b part: Find The Right Man). In Canada, Alanis recorded two dance-pop albums, Alanis (in the year 1991) and the album Now Is The Time in 1992. The singer moved to Toronto when she was 18 and started working with writers and musicians, but this collaboration didn't go as planned. She finally met her partner in 1994. Glen Ballard. He had collaborated with other musicians such as Aretha, Michael Jackson, and Barbra. After that, she relocated to LA when she was 19 years old. The Madonna's Maverick Records released the song "Jagged Little Pill" on June 13th on the 13th of June, 1995. Alanis found a way of making songs that are very personal and autobiographical. JLP has sold more than 30 million copies around the world which makes it the top-selling female album ever. This is also the third-most popular album in history.
