Kristen Anne Bell, born 1980 in the United States of America, is an actress as well as a performer. Born and raised in Huntington Woods Michigan as the daughter of Lorelei Frygier (a nurse) - and Tom Bell - a television director. She's an American actress and singer. She is of Polish (mother's) as well as German (father's), English, Irish and Scottish ancestry. Kristen's passion for acting was found at a young age. In 1992, she attended her first audition and won the role of Raggedy Ann and Andy. Bell's mother introduced her to an agent prior to her turning 13 and she got her first role for television and newspaper commercials. Now, Bell also begins private acting lessons. Bell played a small part that was not credited to her for her part in Polish Wedding (1998), in 1998. Bell was a student at Shrine Catholic High School and was a member of the music club and the drama club. The Wizard of Oz production at the high school she attended earned her the role of the lead Dorothy role. Bell then moved into New York City, to the Tisch School of the Arts. She was a musical theatre student there. In 2001, Bell quit her university in order to portray the character as Becky in Tom Sawyer. In 2001, it was also that Bell's first appearance in a credited film, Pootie Tang (2002). The scene she appeared in was cut and the credits are all that show her. The year 2002 saw her first major role. Bell made an appearance in her first Broadway revival of The Crucible with Liam Neeson and Angela Bettis.
