Amanda Tapping (born in London in England) is an English British Canadian actress and director. Her most well-known role is playing Samantha Carter in the Canadian-American sci-fi military television show Stargate SG-1 Stargate Atlantis and Stargate Universe. Tapping currently lives in Vancouver British Columbia with her husband Alan Kovacs. Tapping has the same responsibilities as well as a sense of empathy when working on her shows as director and producer although neither of the organizations is active at the moment. Amanda Tapping had her first baby with Alan, her husband. Alan: Olivia was born in the year 2005. This caused her to miss five episodes of Season 9 because of it.
