Anamaria Marinca is a Romanian born actress. Her screen debut was with Sex Traffic, a Channel 4 film in which she was awarded the British Academy Television Award as Best Actress. French, German English and Romanian are fluent languages. Her mother played the violin The father of her is a professor of theater at one of Romania's top acting schools. She was awarded the Best Female Actor Award in 2000 at the Mangalia Gala of Young Actors. In 2008, the European Film Promotion Board recognized her as the first European Shooting Star. She was a teacher of the University of Fine Arts Music and Drama George Enescu, Iasi for the duration of four years. bAnamaria is an Romanian Actress born 01 April 1978 in Iasi Romania. As an actress from Romanian origin, Anamaria Marinca made her debut in film with the British-Canadian TV film Sex Traffic for which she received the British Academy Television Award for the Best Actress. Apart from her stellar performance in her first film, she is famous for her role in the Romanian art-film 4 Months 3 Weeks and 2 Days which won her numerous awards, such as the European Film Award for Best Actress London Film Critics. She was in 2007 the lead role in the Romanian movie 4 luni 3 weeks si2 (4 Months, 3 Weeks 4 Months 3 Weeks and 2 Days) 4 months 3 weeks 2 days, directed by Cristian Mungiu. The film won two prizes at the Cannes Film Festival (the Cinema Prize for the French National Education System & the FIPRESCI Prize). She also appeared in the Francis Ford Coppola film Youth Without Youth. In 2008, Marinca portrayed Yasim in BBC's five-episode The Last Enemy. Marinca played the role in her role in the Romanian drama Boogie and in Oliver Hirschbiegel's critically acclaimed Five Minutes of Heaven. Then she as the role of Irma's German Aunt in Fury, which was released in the year 2014.
