LeBron Raymone James Sr. (born on December 30th, 1984) was the name of an American professional player of basketball for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He is referred to as King James and is considered to be one of the top basketball players to ever play. James has been the recipient of four NBA Championships, the four NBA MVP Awards, four NBA Finals MVP Awards and three All-Star MVP Awards. He also has 2 Olympic gold medals. James is an NBA All-Star and has the most playoff points, the second-highest point number and the seventh highest career assist total. James is the NBA All-Star has made the All-NBA Team 18 times, the most in history. He was also selected to be on the NBA All-Defensive First Team 5 times. He has participated in 10 NBA Finals. This is the third highest number of times. There were eight consecutive Finals between 2011-2018. In 2021, James was selected to be part of the NBA 75th Anniversary Team, and in 2022, he became the very first to be the first player from NBA history to score 10,000 or more points over the course of his career rebounds and assists. James was a basketball player for St. Vincent St. Mary High School in the city he grew up in, Akron Ohio and was heavily in the news media as a possible NBA star. James was picked by the Cleveland Cavaliers as the top selection of the NBA draft in 2003. He was named the NBA most promising rookie in the 2004. He soon became one of the most elite athletes of the NBA and was awarded the NBA MVP Award in during 2009 and 2010. After failing to win any championships with Cleveland James left in 2010 as a free agent to become a member of the Miami Heat this was announced in the television special The Decision and is among the most controversial free-agent choices in sports history.
